About Us

Join our mission to amplify voices and create impactful quilts for climate action across the country.

Create a quilt that reflects the problems caused by climate change, solutions to climate change, or your hope for the future.

Once we have pledges for 1,200 quilts, we will begin planning a national demonstration.

A large white banner displays the bold text 'Climate Action Now!' in black and green. A green tree silhouette is painted alongside the words. The banner appears to be mounted on a metal structure, suggesting it is part of a protest or public demonstration.

A group of people are participating in a climate change protest on a city street. Several individuals hold signs, including one prominently displayed that reads 'Cut your carbon? Pledge to be flight free in 2020.' The participants appear to be diverse in age and are dressed casually.

Climate Quilt

The Climate Change Quilt is inspired by the AIDS Quilt Project from the 1980s. (Read more about the AIDS Quilt Project on the About page.) The AIDS Quilt Project raised awareness and honored the lives lost to HIV/AIDS. Likewise, the Climate Quilt Project is aimed at raising awareness of the issues related to climate change. A recent study found that climate change fueled the world’s 10 worst weather disasters of the past two decades have contributed to the deaths of more than 570,000 people. Estimates are that unabated climate change will result in 3.4 million deaths annually by the end of the century.
